Day 6 - {Ice Ice Baby, Ride ride slippity slide}

I don't know if it was chocolate or Vanilla - Ice Ice Baby... and I wasn't willing to taste it to find out... but when I got up this am and let the Her Royal Dogginess out to potty, I discovered this
Yup, that'd be ice covering the top of our pool. Like a week and a half ago we had a TON of rain, I mean DAYS of rain and it collected in the pool cover. Creating a small lake. I had mentioned to Hubbalicious that he should siphon that out before we ended up with a problem... well today... could be the start of a problem --- that rain "catch" has turned into ice and I fear that the amount of water is tooooo much on the cover - it is pulling wayyyy in and tugging at the metal top rails of the pool - I will DIE if this pool explodes. It IS my summer sanity saver....
On another note - today was a field trip to the vets office for our furry daughter.... I took her in for her rabies vaccine, her 9way and the county tag we are required to have for her.
Grand total - $70 (GASP).......
The fact that THIS is what happened when I told her to come get in the car to go bye bye with us --- PRICELESS as you can see below!

Yup, she hopped in, first into Lil' Diva Girls chair, then right on over just a hop into Monkey Mans lap. He thought this was AWESOME! HRD stayed there for most of the just 5 minute ride to the vet office. He squealed with delight the whole time and I think Her Royal Dogginess appreciated the "view from the top" she got because she could easily put her front paws on the side window and check out all the great trees and traffic!

Day 5 - {Road to Redemption & Burrrr thday Wishes}

So if yesterday I went to the promised land... I figured today would be the Road to Redemption.... as you can see....

If I weren't too busy having a heart attack AFTER my workout I would have taken a picture of my calories burned today count ---- but like I said.. I was having to give myself mouth to mouth rescucitation at that point....
Know what else nearly stopped my heart? This...
Yup, at 6:50 this morning when I put my devil spawns, erh I mean my LOVELY older children on the bus, THAT double digit was staring me in the face..... WOAH!
It was also the cause of these fine specimens.....

Did I mention we are in FLORIDA? Uh, commonly known as the "Sunshine State" or as I like to call it ...the "You can wear flip flops and tank tops year round, so come on down and enjoy some of this" State....
Here's a little oxymoron for you --- these are sea oats......
Um, frozen sea oats....that isAnd some random vineage on a fence
And so today... I want to finish off by saying
HAPPY BURRRRRRDAY to my neice A -
I can't wait to come to your Hanna Tanna party this weekend! You better wear your new hat :)

Day 4 - {The Promised Land & Al Gore}

Today... I decided to take a trip with the kids to "The Promised Land" ---- no, we didn't need a passport and a long flight to get there..... we just needed about 15 minutes, a few gallons of gas... and we where off to find my saving grace (after 2.5 weeks at home with all four of the kids)....
This is the street of the promised land....

Do you know what I'm talking about???

No?

Ohhh this says we are almost there.....
Ahhhhh sweet sweet Promised Land...

On the way there this is what my van was SCREAMING at me.....

So this was our salvation.......

When we where leaving we saw this --- I thought about tailing him to whereever he was going and holding him at gunpoint, well not really because I don't carry a gun, but I wonder if my camera would have been as effective? Probably not, and it's for the better since I wouldn't have wanted the kids to be arrested as accessory to a doughnut robbery...

And as for Al Gore ----- this was obviously a lie...
because it never ever should be 35 degrees in FLORIDA (ps, I couldnt' catch a picture of the temp. saying 33 when we first got in the car ---!!)

And thats all I have for today folks......
PS: I'm not really an Al Gore hater... I'm not an Al Gore lover either... lets just call me neutral in the Al Gore camp okay! :)

Day 3 - {It's Cool.....and the gang}

Today is Day 3 of my Project 365 -so first off I'd like to call for a virtual round of applause for making it this far... yes folks, this just might be the longest I've stuck to a "project" before :)

I've got a few things to share with you today..... first - do you know what this means?

Duh, it can only mean one thing.....

Outdoor beer fridge... no electricity needed!

Next - I decided to finally (after much coaxing from Hubbalicious) that I should go get my hair did.... so I went in for this....

Just kidding...I thought that this would be a better look for me.....

Okay okay, I'll get serious.... so when you take a little place like this....

And you throw in some of this.......

You get this......

So whatchya think? I've been wanting to do the "red" for awhile.... and I finally did. We started out with only about 9 foils, so just a small amount, but I think next time I'm going brighter, bigger chunks and all of it (we only did like the top few layers of hair, not all the way down through my thickness)..... You can see it MUCH brighter in the sunshine - and like I said, next time, I'm definitely going for the brighter more IN YO FACE look....

Sadly..upon my return home and showing it off, and showing how we didn't go all the "way" with it, Hubbalicious informed me he found something......

GASP - YES that is a GRAY HAIR!!! I'm convinced it's a piece of fishing line he cleverly had up his sleeve so to play an early April Fools Joke on me..... either way, I make him "pull it out" and well, he's lucky he did, otherwise he wouldn't have lived to gain another Gray on his own head...

So I guess that means i need to buy one of these..... for touch ups, you know....

It'll be a real lifesaver......

Day 2 {Toys & Tylenol}

So what do you think that kids buy at a toy store? Well I've certainly got the answer for you today. In day 2 of Project 365 I'm going to give you a real glimpse into what happens from a trip to the toy store.... Thanks to a little Christmas cheer in the form of gift cards from Nana Linda we took a field trip to find out just what kids of all ages would want to buy....

What does Little Diva Girl (almost 4) buy?
Then you may ask - what does Miss Pop Star (age 7) buy? After more than an hours deliberation this is how it turned out.......

What does The Boy Wonder choose? Well one of these of course.... yea, it's double barrell

But the question that burns in EVERYONES mind is ---- what exactly does a 32 year old kid buy??? - the answer is OBVIOUS...DUH!
And you of course can't forget these......
What does a mommy buy after a 2.5 hour trip to Toys R Us????
Sadly Monkey Man had to leave empty handed...but he was easily consoled with one large Waffle cut into bite size pieces (sorry, forgot to lug Ol' Bessie with me for the photo op)! Then he called for a nap.

Day 1 {Smokey Bones & Charlie Brown}

Today is day one of my Project 365 - I will do my BEST to take and post at least ONE photo per day for the next 365 days! I hope you enjoy this journey as much as I will! And remember, it's not too late to start your own Project 365!

Recently Hubbalicious won a big charcoal grill/smoker from work.

We've used it a few times for regular grilling (wow, I forgot how great food tastes from a charcoal grill - we've been cooking on gas for 10 years now), however today, Hubbalicious thought to try out the "smoking" side of life (or the grill anyway). So he bought some slabs of ribs and got to smoking.....

While the hubalicious was out smoking away, Boy Wonder, Miss Pop Star and Lil' Diva Girl played outside. One on of my "checkin in" moments with Hubbalicious I looked over the see this.... in the backyard

Apparently my kids are continuing the Christmas celebration into the new year - this is their attempt at what can only be described as the best little Charlie Brown Christmas Tree ever!

The Purpose.....

I'm starting this year with a purpose.... yup, a purpose. I don't intend to have resolutions, just purposes. So my first purpose is to join in on something I've been watching others do for some time now and that is a Project 365. My intent/goal/purpose - take and post at least ONE new photograph each day for the next 365 days, beginning today.

I would imagine most would involve my children, but perhaps some will be of random things I find in the day that make my finger (that one that presse the shutter) twitch.....

I've already taken a few to share today - and once I get the baby down for a nap, I fully intend to download them and then create my Day 1 post.

I hope to come to this blog daily and make my posts...however, given my track record with blogging, it almost seems too lofty of a goal, but never fear, I gave myself a backup - I plan to create an album, Project 365, on my Facebook page and share there. I figure I'm ALWAYS there anyway so that SHOULD NOT be a problem.... but I hope that I can motivate myself to post here as well...daily.

My purpose of this purpose... not only to chronicle our life one day at a time, but to also hopefully become a better photographer. I hope that 2010 will allow me to hone my skills wether by working with other photographers, experimenting, and or taking various classes offered in my area (and perhaps even beyond).

We'll see how it goes....... this has GOT to be easier than say, losing 100 lbs in a year right? Right?
